Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrival & Briefing Receive a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to Arusha. Meet your guide for a comprehensive gear check and briefing on the journey ahead.
Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp Enter the lush montane forest and hike through towering trees and hanging vines. Reach Machame Camp (2980m) where your crew will have tents and hot water waiting.
Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp Ascend out of the forest into the moorland zone, crossing a rocky ridge to reach the Shira Plateau (3840m). Enjoy stunning views of the Western Breach and its glaciers.
Day 4: Lava Tower & Acclimatization Hike to Lava Tower (4630m) before descending to Barranco Camp (3950m). This "climb high, sleep low" strategy is essential for proper altitude adjustment.
Day 5: The Great Barranco Wall Tackle the Great Barranco Wall, a fun scramble that rewards you with incredible vistas. Traverse the Karanga Valley and overnight at Karanga Camp (3950m).
Day 6: The Push to Barafu Hut Ascend through an alpine desert to Barafu Hut (4600m), your high-altitude basecamp. Rest early for a midnight start toward the summit.
Day 7: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak Begin the final ascent at midnight to reach Stella Point by dawn. Complete the journey to Uhuru Peak (5895m) for sunrise before descending to Mweka Camp.
Day 8: Descent to Arusha Complete the final trek through the rainforest to Mweka Gate (1980m). Say goodbye to your mountain crew and transfer back to Arusha for a well-deserved rest.
Day 9: Arusha to Tarangire National Park Start your safari in Tarangire, famous for its ancient baobab trees and the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania.
Day 10: Journey to Central Serengeti Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at the crater viewpoint before entering the vast plains of the Serengeti.
Day 11: Full Day Serengeti Game Drives Explore the Seronera area and beyond, tracking lions, cheetahs, and leopards across the iconic savanna.
