13-Day Epic Tanzania: Serengeti Safari & Kilimanjaro Lemosho Climb

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha Pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to your hotel in Arusha for briefing and relaxation.

Day 2: Arusha to Serengeti National Park Early morning departure for the Serengeti. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive in the Seronera area, catching the first glimpse of the park's famous predators.

Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands Enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti before journeying toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, watching the landscape shift to lush highlands.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Floor Spend the day inside the world’s largest volcanic caldera, a wildlife haven where you can spot rhinos, lions, and massive herds of wildebeest.

Day 5: Londorossi Gate to Forest Camp Drive to the Kilimanjaro trailhead. Begin your trek with a 3–4 hour hike through dense, magical rainforest to reach Forest Camp (Big Tree Camp) at 9,500 ft.

Day 6: Forest Camp to Shira One Camp Trek through the moorland zone, leaving the forest behind for open landscapes of tall grasses and volcanic rocks, reaching Shira One at 11,500 ft.

Day 7: Shira Plateau to Moir Hut Cross the expansive Shira Plateau with incredible views of Kibo peak. Opt for an acclimatization walk on the Lent Hills near Moir Hut.

Day 8: Lava Tower to Barranco Camp "Climb high, sleep low" day. Ascend to Lava Tower (15,200 ft) for lunch before descending into the beautiful Barranco Valley (13,000 ft).

Day 9: Barranco Wall to Karanga Camp Conquer the infamous Barranco Wall, a rewarding scramble followed by a ridge walk with stunning glacier views to Karanga Camp.

Day 10: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp Steady uphill climb through an alpine desert to reach Barafu (Base) Camp. Rest and prepare for the midnight summit push.

Day 11: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak Begin your ascent at midnight. Reach Stella Point by sunrise and continue to Uhuru Peak (19,345 ft) to stand on the roof of Africa. Descend to Mweka Hut.

Day 12: Mweka Gate to Arusha Final descent through the rainforest to Mweka Gate to collect your achievement certificate. Transfer back to Arusha for a hot shower and rest.
