9-Day Ultimate Tanzania Safari: Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Cultural Immersion

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha Upon landing, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy an optional relaxed city tour to visit local markets or the Cultural Heritage Centre.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park Travel southwest to Tarangire, famous for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Spend the day on a game drive tracking lions, leopards, and some of the 550+ bird species found here.

Day 3: Journey to Central Serengeti Drive toward the Serengeti, stopping at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area viewpoint for panoramic photos. Arrive in the Serengeti for an afternoon game drive before camping at Seronera.

Day 4: Full Day in the Serengeti Explore the vast "endless plains," a UNESCO World Heritage site known for the highest concentration of large predators in Africa. Track the Big Five and, depending on the season, witness the Great Migration.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Rim Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before a scenic drive to the Ngorongoro highlands. Arrive at the crater rim by late afternoon to witness the stunning views of the caldera.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour Descend 610 meters into the crater floor for a highly concentrated wildlife viewing experience. This is your best chance to see the rare black rhino, along with thousands of flamingos on Lake Magadi.

Day 7: Lake Eyasi Cultural Experience Shift your focus to cultural immersion by meeting the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers and the Datoga blacksmiths. Learn about ancient survival techniques and traditional craftsmanship in this unique exchange.

Day 8: Kilimanjaro Foothills & Materuni Waterfalls Explore the base of Africa’s highest peak with a hike to the Materuni Waterfalls. Visit a local coffee farm to roast your own beans and relax at the Kikuletwa Hot Springs.
